• Transfer to your boutique hotel in the center of Paris

• Enjoy a typical French apéritif and wine and cheese tasting in the Eiffel Tower neighborhood

Day 2: Pastries and wine in Paris

Morning: Pastry class

Meet a talented pastry chef who will help you make the perfect French macarons* in her teaching kitchen and tearoom in the heart of Paris. From Swiss meringue to chocolate ganache and lemon cream, to professional baking techniques, you will start to master the art of French pastries.

• Have fun in a relaxed atmosphere for a one-of-a-kind lesson. You will be amazed by the taste and elegance of your work (and of course will get to keep your creations and the recipe!).

*If you prefer, we can replace a macaron class with a pastry class on making traditional French croissants (the secret? Butter!) or crusty baguettes.

• Enjoy a gourmet lunch and watch Paris go by as we travel by bateau mouche along the Seine River

Afternoon: Wine-making class under the Louvre

Create your own personal bottle of wine in an 18th century wine cellar – under the Louvre Museum!

• An expert winemaker will take you through the process of creating your special blend of wine. You will start by sampling different varietals, choosing what will make your wine unique, and finally learning to compose your blend.

• You will even have the opportunity to design the label for your wine (and of course bring your creation home with you).

Day 3: Chablis wines & Flavigny-sur-Ozerain

Morning: Wines of Chablis

• Discover the white wines of Chablis – wines that gained renown thanks to Cistercian monks in the 12th century! Tour a large and prestigious winery established in 1923 and meet the head winemaker. We will have a private tasting with him in his wine cellar as he details the production methods and the specificities of the land and soil that make Burgundy vintage wines stand out.

• We will have the possibility of having lunch at La Grange in Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, a unique restaurant where you will be welcomed by local producers who prepare creative dishes composed of in-season ingredients and meat directly from their farms. Get a chance to talk with them as they share their regional specialties with you!

Afternoon: Flavigny-sur-Ozerain

• Discover one of the “Most beautiful Villages of France” and where Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche filmed the movie Chocolat. Perched on a hill overlooking the countryside, experience the charm of Flavigny firsthand.

Visit a traditional candy-making factory inside a Benedictine Abbey that produces anise-flavored sugar candy. Go behind the scenes to watch the candy-makers at work and ask all the questions you’d like about the secrets of this typical treat from the region.

• Night in a boutique hotel in Dijon

Day 4: Dijon

Morning : Dijon mustard

• With your local guide, discover the Fallot Dijon Mustard factory, a family business founded in 1840 that still caters to the most prestigious customers today. It is famous for the quality of its work and produce. Tasting included of course!

We will have lunch at the Cité de la Gastronomie et du Vin in Dijon or the Bistrot des Falaises near Beaune, where we will taste regional specialties including boeuf bourguignon, gougères, and escargots as we creative dishes composed of fresh local produce; depending on availability and the time of year, we can also participate in a culinary workshop hosted at the Cité.

Afternoon : Cheese-making

Visit a traditional creamery and meet Stéphanie and Christophe, the artisanal cheese makers at the helm of the Fromagerie Mussy founded in 1885.  We will go behind the scenes of the fromagerie and finish with a tasting of cheeses such as Chaource, Délice de Mussy, Lys de Champagne-Ardenne and other specialties.

• Transfer back to Paris, night in a boutique hotel in the center of Paris
