DAY 1: Medieval Christmas Market & Kaysersberg

• Meet craftsmen at the medieval Christmas market in Ribeauvillé.

• Marvel at the illuminations of the Christmas market in Kaysersberg.

DAY 2: Strasbourg - Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle

• Visit the city of Strasbourg and its amazing Cathedral.

• Stroll through the Strasbourg Christmas market and enjoy a crêpe at the foot of the Cathedral.

• Gertwiller is the hometown of gingerbread. Taste the magic of Christmas in a museum that will bring back fond memories. Michel, the owner, will let you peek around the workshop where he bakes and makes his creations.

• Reach the towering Haut-Koenigsburg medieval fort, built at an altitude of 757 meters (nearly 2,500 feet). Marvel at the landscape and scenery as you take in the views of the Alsatian valleys and plains.

• Get to know Alain, an independent vintner who will walk you through the steps and secrets of winemaking and let you taste the wines he creates from the grapes of his vineyard.

• Together with the wines, you’ll be treated to a platter of local specialities as a guest of the family.

• Visit the Riquewihr Christmas market.

DAY 3: Riquewihr Christmas Market & Turckheim

• Enjoy a walking tour of Riquewihr, voted one of the “Most beautiful villages of France.” And of course, visit Santa’s workshop.

• Meet a night watchman from Turckheim and stroll through the cobblestone streets of the town.

DAY 4: Eguisheim & Munster

• In Eguisheim, you’ll find one of the most authentic Alsace Christmas markets set in one of the most beautiful villages of France! Meet its artisans and local producers.

• Meet a glass carver in Eguisheim and carve your own glass Christmas ornament.

• Follow the 5-Castle-Road and reach Munster, a tiny Alsatian village nestled at the heart of the Vosges mountain range.

• Willy, a master pastry chef, will teach you to weave and bake own soft pretzels!

• Visit a cheese producer in Munster.

• Take a beautiful nature walk or bicycle ride along the ridges near the Grand Ballon mountains pass, in the Vosges mountains

DAY 5: Mittelbergheim & Ungersheim

• Meet a family of winegrowers in Mittelbergheim.

• Visit their medieval cellars and taste their best wines.

• Learn about traditional life in Alsace in France’s largest open-air museum.Visit the workshops of talented artisans including blacksmiths, barrel makers, wicker workers, cobblers, barbers, bakers, potters, wheelwrights, and saddlers.
